It's not very light at 5 AM in Montreal. We had everybody up, checked out and on the bus by shortly after 5:30! Each of us grabbed a boxed breakfast when we boarded the bus. After checking in, everyone had an opportunity to say goodbye to Nachos. Air Canada created a special lane for us through security, and we had some time to wait to board the aircraft. We left on time at 8:15 local time.
Some slept, some watched TV, some talked on the long flight to Edmonton. Unfortunately, Air Canada did not have our meal on board, so we made do with a few snacks. We arrived on time in Edmonton, and after everyone had a chance to use the washrooms, we went to the lower level to collect our baggage.
Then it was time to load the bus and head home. We were split up on two buses, and we made a nutrition stop north of Devon.
We passed through Whitecourt around 1:45 PM, and plan to make a washroom break at Valleyview. We'll make a direct run for Dawson Creek from there. So, we should be home earlier than we first expected.
